“ Belmont locationowner Tom Tunney is a Chicago gem. Two Ohio gals showed up here, not knowing about this iconic restaurant. One of the servers was extremely friendly and asked us about our meal, also commenting on my shirt. We held a lively conversation throughout our breakfast as he passed by off and on. When we went to go pay the bill, we found out this is the owner of over 45 years! He was hilarious. The crabcakes and hollandaise sauce were amazing. The poppyseed side salad with pickled beets was yummy. But I quickly changed my order of a side dish of pickled beets since I dont need that many pickled beets. I took home half my meal because the portions are huge. The place was hopping. The artwork is enjoyable. Service was excellent. We took a walk down the street to the Belmont Army thrift store, which is so much fun as well. Dont be confused with the word army. It has lots and lots of vintage clothing. Dont miss the basement. We got parking for five dollars on the street a two hour limit. I wish Id read the reviews to know about the free parking behind. The windows make the restaurant brightly lit and you feel like youre in the coolest place in town. Hope to be back! Thanks Tom and staff! ”
“ Great value for large amounts of food. The eggs Benedict had two eggs, Hollandaise sauce on the side, and two LARGE and thick slices of ham. The meal also came with two sides and we chose 1. Two cinnamon rolls 2. Hash browns The cinnamon rolls were VERY large so splitting a meal and getting the cinnamon rolls as a side is very advisable. The hash browns were just okay. Our server was incredibly kind and provided great service for our table. It was a cozy feel and a great place. I highly recommend eating here and getting their cinnamon rolls! ”

“ Nice breakfast place, my crab cake Benedict was really well cooked and flavorful. The cinnamon rolls were so soft and fluffy, doughy and warm. I enjoyed the space it was just one of those typical crowded and over crowded restaurants where the servers and waiters are hawking you to make sure you get out in time for more people to come in. ”
“ 4.75 for 2 BIG, warm, sweet and spiced Cinnamon Rolls? A STEAL!! Dare I say this place is the cutest, quaintest, and most DELICIOUS breakfast spot? The Cinnamon Rolls are a MUST GET its what theyre famous for but dont skip out on the Swedish Pancakes! These are unique a thinner pancakes thats got a fun bouncy and almost chewy texture! The inside of the restaurant smells decadently sweet is adorable too! Cottagecore paintings line the walls and the ceiling has a fun pattern as well! Cannot recommend this place enough! ”

The star of this place is DEFINITELY the cinnamon rolls, they come warm and fresh and the glaze just oozes off the roll. Portions were huge for a really good price. “ Ann Sather is a staple of Chicago restaurants. The story of the ownership is very heartwarming and they are famous if their cinnamon rolls. This location is old fashioned but it is clean and comfortable. No worries Each meal comes with sides of either their famous cinnamon rolls, or hash browns and etc. I had their eggs Benedict, classic. Runny egg yolk with hollandaise sauce on the side. Very fulfilling brunch. Service is excellent, someone will constantly refill your coffee and water. And yes, there is free parking next door ”
